Mr Ross Elledge recently travelled to Florida, USA, to attend and present at the ASTMJS (American Society of Temporomandibular Joint Surgeons) Meeting.
At the event, Ross showcased his ongoing research and development work on XEDAQ, a mobile developed in collaboration with colleagues aimed at providing adjunctive support to standardised conservative management in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. The presentation generated interest from international colleagues keen to explore how XEDAQ can improve the way patients can be supported in their recovery outside of the operating room pre- and post-surgery, as well as avoiding surgical intervention entirely.
The XEDAQ app—available now on both Apple App Store and Google Play—was developed by Elledge Informatics to help patients with self-directed therapy when they are either not surgical candidates or recovering from surgical interventions (minimally invasive or open surgery).
This opportunity to connect with global TMJ researchers and clinicians highlights how innovation and technology can enhance the patient experience.
